From something I’ve been working on.

A couple of sketches from a project I handed in recently. I hope to have the prints I made for this project finished sometime soon and available to buy.

This is something I lifted from a sketchpad to put into a faux job application we’ve been doing at uni. I have a couple more things to upload in the next few days.

I thought of this today so I just sketched it up quickly, kind of rough I guess.

This is the image I was talking about before I left for uni. I’m there now. I know it’s a bit early to be posting christmas stuff but I guess I’ll forget to do it otherwise. I don’t know yet whether I’ll be doing more work for this commission or not.

For anyone who likes cats as much as I do.

For this one I was thinking kind of mythologically. Deities. That kind of thing. This one was actually pretty off-the-cuff and took maybe an hour or something from start to finish. I like how it turned out. I might use this wash-out ink effect for the zine. I don’t know yet.

I’ll probably upload some more pictures this week.

This is the direction I am thinking of going with Trail Mix and also one of the larger pieces I am hoping to make into a print. Trail Mix will probably use white backgrounds, because I am poor and at home for summer and I want to use our printer to make it.

I didn’t really think about it at the time but I guess this is partially inspired by Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom, which I mentioned on here a few weeks ago. I like the idea of taking stuff from an existing period of history and making it into something fantastical.

From my personal sketchpad, I just thought this came out nicely enough to share. It’s Tira from the Soul Calibur series, she was my favourite of the characters introduced for the third instalment. I used pen and watercolours.
